Beautiful buildings, and some history, but you’re only allowed in the A wing (which is the gift shop) - you aren’t allowed to actually explore or see any of the castle, just the grounds when you walk in, and the gift shop, very very disappointed...More
This was simply amazing. Cameron, our guide made the castle and the courts come to life in this hour guided tour.
Well worth the entrance fee to see the dark side of our nations past. Thankyou so much.

They run regularly through out the day, and there are at least 2 tour guides so if you arrive and just miss one, it’s not long before the next one sets off, following just behind the last group. They allow no more than 49 people on each tour, which is a good idea due to some limited spaces. The tours are for an hour and meticulously timed!! If you just miss one there’s enough around the inside fortified area to keep you occupied.
