Looked on the internet to find somewhere to walk our dog when travelling down from Heywood to home in Hampshire. Parked in a small free car park which after the rain was a trifle muddy. The track however was well maintained and a pleasure to...More

The entire walk round was spent looking at the path to avoid the poop rather than looking around at nature. There is rubbish and dog turd everywhere. I have taken just a few that are actually at the start so you can imagine how much...More

As title really. There's dog crap in bags EVERYWHERE. Even next to the sign asking users to pick up after themselves, nice work awful humans. Also a huge amount of what I believe is giant hogweed, the stuff that causes permanent scarring and worse if...More

The paths here are clearly marked out, with a map board in the car park. The car park is large, able to accommodate around 16 cars. The walks keep you in touch with nature and are very good.

We are regular visitors and always enjoy the gentle walk around the reserve. Always lots to see and never feels too busy! lots of beautiful wild flowers - especially in late spring.

Pleasant walk along a circular gravelled path. Lovely to hear so many birds singing. The website says you can picnic there but there are no benches except the bird hides. The walk takes in fields, grassland, mixed woodland and a number of ponds.

This circular walk is accessed from a small car park. There are a number of ponds and some hides for bird watching along the way. The butterfly meadow attracts a good variety of insects in the summer.

Used to go there often as it is handy for where we live and at one time it was lovely, but recently it seems to have deteriorated. The last time we went some of the paths were impassable because there are huge areas which are...More
