Had a stroll round in my lunch break one day. Sat on a bench, ate my lunch and enjoyed the plants and open space. There's a library in the middle and clean restrooms.

Not sure if we visited on the day of some sort of town event (5th Aug), but it was buzzing with happy locals and tourists enjoying the beautifully kept gardens, some excellent live music, and a variety of stalls. Just wish the toilets were nicer!

Despite the lack of rain this summer, the gardens are still looking superb. Stopped here for an hour or so and listened to the brass band - very British and very nice.
