We found this lovely pub whilst queuing on the A6. We had already been travelling eight hours due to closure of M6. excellent meal, friendly staff and very reasonable We eventually arrived in the Lake District three hours later.

Every year we camp at Wyreside Farm and walk through to the Grapes for Friday night pizza, but not this year. Not pizza. Gutted, the table before us got the last pizza dough ... no pizza, not garlic bread. OK so we know the rest...More

Visit here quite often but decided it’s time to leave a review so it’s not based on a 1 off visit. The food is amazing and quite faultless at really good prices, certainly worth a visit and have a nice grassy area for the kids.
