An interesting high Victorian building, OTT Greek etc style. That is worth a visit. The contents are worth seeing too, well presented and of good quality. The museum is free but worth a generous donation.

I enjoyed visiting this place.although the painting by John William waterhouse was in storage. Why? How? Peaceful surroundings, spend an hour or so here and be surprised.my teen kids didn't enjoy it as it wasn't about technology :-(

Their usual collection is great for the first time but can be samey if you've visited many times before, studying in UCLAN on their art courses, you find yourself here an awful lot. Their changing collections can be amazing though!

Haven’t been for a number of years but they have tried to cater for children. The comic zone was good with creating comics and dressing up, as was the section which contained the elk with the interactive screen for tests. There was a good amount...More

Thanks very much for your review. We're really glad the whole family enjoyed it. Our Foucault Pendulum is still in place on the ground floor within the cafe area, so do look out for it next time you come.

If Egypt is your thing then this may be of interest to you. Tour to be booked in advance and lasts about 45mins. Enthusiastic guides with good knowledge made for an enjoyable experience. Thanks
