Overview
More
The museum contains informative and colourful displays about the prehistory and Roman history of Ribchester, using many archaeological finds from the site, including coins, sculpture and metalwork. There are also remains of the Roman fort and baths outside the museum. Regular events and temporary exhibitions take place throughout the year. Pre-booked guided tours and educational visits can be arranged by email. Our next event is Iron Age Day on Sunday 10th September 2017. Come and find out about life in Celtic Britain!

This small, intimate museum is very well presented. Combined with it's true location with outdoor ruins and local history, this is a must-see attraction for anyone visiting the beautiful part if the world!

Had a lovely hour here. The man who welcomed us was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Spoke to my 7 year old who was inspired. Lots of interesting facts both of the area and the Romans.
