Overview
More
The museum contains informative and colourful displays about the prehistory and Roman history of Ribchester, using many archaeological finds from the site, including coins, sculpture and metalwork. There are also remains of the Roman fort and baths outside the museum. Regular events and temporary exhibitions take place throughout the year. Pre-booked guided tours and educational visits can be arranged by email. Our next event is Iron Age Day on Sunday 10th September 2017. Come and find out about life in Celtic Britain!

It is undoubtably an important centre for Roman study. Loved the outside existing remains though I am sure with investment it could be much more. Roman students will see the context of this important site but it can be lost on the general observer. I...More
