The access statement on the website says that "We have 2 lifts in the building, so that visitors can access both the first and second floors". But it doesn't tell you that the lifts can only be used if more than one staff volunteer is...More

Well laid out, loads of information, and a fascinating old building to look around. Hope that it is able to stay open. Easy to miss it, it does not stand out - some more signage in the town would help to direct visitors to this...More

Quite a short trip round this wonderful old building. Lots of interactive bits and pieces for the kids to get into. Loved reading about the battle!

Excellent exhibition explaining the history of the town including the eponymous battle of the Wars of the Roses fought just a short distance away. It puts the other historical parts of the town into context.

Worth a look, especially if you've already popped into the Tourist Information Centre on the ground floor (excellent, helpful staff here).. It's geared towards school groups but still of interest to adults.

We popped in here to find out about the battlefields. The staff were full of useful information not only about what we had asked about but other things as well. A must visit if you need any help or information booklets.

Very informative visit and wonderful display boards. Plenty of objects and activities that children can enjoy and do, including dressing up in helmets and clothes. A great visit.
