Just so everyone knows the museum is mothballed and closed until further notice. The building still houses the excellent library.
Go check out the leather museum or the art gallery instead, and hopefully the place will reopen one day.

Have been visiting Walsall museum for over 40 yrs as man and boy. It has never been in a great position for publicity purposes but visiting it now is quite sad compared to haow it was as it has shrunk to almost nothing.
We've been to a few museums in the past like the wolves one which was great but this one really didn't interest us much to be honest even tho it was free entry!

A surpising number of modern and last century paintings, drawings and photographs. It was free and we spent an interesting couple of hours there. Top floor balcony provides a view of the town and canals.
