I live fairy local and knew about it but I have never been there. We finally visited and it was so much more interesting than I have expected. Definitely recommended.

Visited on a whim whilst in the area with some visitors from Canada, What a delightful surprise it turned out to be. Informative and enjoyable, with a most friendly approach from everyone we met.

Yes, there is a large shop with a good selection of locally made leather goods such as wallets, purses, belts, bags etc. The prices are very reasonable.
