This charming High Church is Maidstone’s parish church steeped in history from Norman times. Many nooks and crannies of interest, including the colours of the Royal West Kent Regiment from bygone times. Although set in the chaotic one way system , the adjacent historic buildings...More

Very peaceful. I just wanted to be alone for a short while to gather my thoughts for a busy day the next day.

Never tire of taking my American and English friends to this treasure trove of history, they are amazed at the preservation of the church and its history and to see the preserved roman bridge over the river Len next door.

A worthwhile introduction to the history of Maidstone and the area around the Archbishop's Palace. Lionel is a notable member of the church and proved to be an excellent guide.

All Saints is listed in a book, The Most Important Churches in Britain. The church is open to the public several days weekly. We are going back today, as I think my mother was christened there in 1914. The architecture is Norman Gothic with Cistercian...More
