This is a really charming and peaceful bit of woodland, great for dog walking and bike riding, just outside of Swindon. There are a few different routes to take through the area, all well signposted and easy to navigate (no difficult pathways, well maintained shrubbery,...More

I think it is good place to go to because it burns of a lot of energy and it is a good place for a long walk (by child age 7)

A very interesting wood, with plenty of trees which in places have been planted in rows, the stony path is well maintained, but the car park has so many potholes I have never seen so many in one place

Lovely walk hidden away. The kids loved running around and exploring. But..... Lazy dog owners who do not pick up their dogs mess spoil this place ! The muck is literally everywhere !! Come for a walk , just watch your step !!

Love nightingale woods at all times of year to walk the dogs and grandkids. Can walk through to Roves farm for a cuppa too.

Some nice looped walks around here, with the addition of different fitness equipment around the loops which makes it a bit different for all. It's clearly popular at peak times as it has free parking, if the road is getting badly potholed now. The only...More

I visited Nightingale Woods in Swindon yesterday, with a Walking Group. It is a very good place to visit, with lots of nice walks and trees.

A lovely place to walk, however if dog walkers are choosing to go there due to no horses signs then beware! The forestry commission has given locals permission to use woods with their horses so the signs give incorrect information for walkers choosing this venue...More
