The Half Moon Inn is a pub located in the Littleover area of Derby which is about a 10 minute drive from Derby city centre or around the same on a bus. The pub has recently had a refurb and to be honest it needed it. It is the sort of pub to go t woth a group of lads and watch the football and have a few games of pool or darts. It offers a basic range of beer at a fairly average price, a large beer garden and a lot of Televisons for watching live sports. Very average pub overall but I feel like the people that go their know what they're getting.

The pub itself is fantastic since the refurb of both the lounge and now the gents as well, a few teething problems with the plumbing but nothing the bosses couldn't fix. The live music is great, and the free drink for playing a set in the open mic is a wonderful incentive to get budding musicians out playing. Littleover's best!

I live just around the corner from the Half Moon, therefore I was delighted when it was refurbished. It is clean and more open plan before when it was two separate rooms.Unfortunately the toilets were out off order for the ladies and the men’s only two urinals in operation out of four.I called in on Saturday the following week during the late premier league game.Quite a few people complained about the noise in the lounge area but there is at least seven tv’s in there so is it a sports bar or pub? After nine o’clock it is Northern Soul night which is good.Jody the landlady is trying to cater for a wide audience. The selection of beer is very good.

Myself and my husband came to The Half Moon for their open mic night they hold regularly every Friday. What we found was a busy, but not uncomfortably so, thriving pub with a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The music was excellent and the staff were all friendly. Particularly nice beer garden with lots of pretty little touches. Our night was fantastic, in particular James who was our bar man for most of the evening. He had us both in absolute stitches with his funny banter and quick wit. We will definitely be returning! Thank you all at The Half Moon!
