Compared to most of our Cathedrals, this one is quite small, but it is beautiful, welcoming and peaceful.

Lovely building, not very big but lots going on. We were warmly welcomed when we went in. Windows very nice. They have summer lunchtime concerts, a tour of the Tower with 189 steps. We didn't consider that!!! Films, talks, recitals. Something for everyone. Worth a...More

We visited it and were surprised as the inside was not as expected when looking at the outside. Bright and light and quite beautiful. Free to enter and spend some time looking or reflecting. Worth a visit.

It is a fascinating church due to its mixture of architectural styles. Also it has many interesting funeral monuments. Including the one to Bess of Hsrdwick and a memorial to Florence Nightengale.

The cathedral is open to the public free of charge. An illustrated guidebook is available for purchase from the volunteers for just a quid though you can carry a complementary guide mounted on a paddle for free. The architecture, the organ, and the altar are...More

Not visited since 1984. Deliberately intended to visit for Choral Evensong. Very friendly helpful in the cathedral shop opposite especially as they were heading towards close for the day. Nice to wander around the cathedral whilst the choir were rehearsing. Shame so few of us...More

I like the title of this Cathedral as the Cathedral of All Saints - it seems to cover all bases! The most striking feature on approach is the tall tower with its blue clock face. I thought this was going to be a traditional Gothic...More

We called in one afternoon, having never been in before, despite previously living in Derby for some time. It’s a treasure trove of local history and we had a very enjoyable visit.

There is no entrance fee but a donation box. i believe there is a charge if you want to do the tower, i couldn't do it at the time due to a service being conducted.

We found it, very inviting, and everyone could sit where ever they wanted, they even supplied tea/coffee and biscuits. The pillars where not a problem.

Hi. I'm a keen amauter photographer, and love taking photos. Lots of them. I have found that when you are in the UK you can take photos of most places, but no flash photos. I took a lot of photos in the Cathedral.
