While in Gloucester we visited this, Blackfriars & St Oswald's Priory, this was by far the worst of the three. There was a lot of broken glass around on the floor, which isn't ideal with the kids. The most interesting thing were the two shields...More

The ruins of this Friary are completely surrounded by ugly modern building, rather a shame. You still get a sense of history from the ruins but its no Tintern Abbey.

lovely to walk around here and see the history and a few photo opportunities too worth a visit. Good eating places and cafes near by and the town is good to walk around as well.

These ruins are quite difficult to find, and when we did find them we were somewhat disappointed. There are some ruined walls and very little else. We couldn't even find any information panels about the building.

Kept the kids entertained. That is all I need in a day out. Spent the whole day there and enjoyed every second.
