This place will always be busy with dog walkers but the decent paths mean that it is great to go walking there all year round! You don't have to keep to the paths though and can go exploring through the woods themselves.

Easy walk from Harrowgate gardens to Harlow Carr. Mostly flat path, lovely trees, birds and squirrels. Views across the valley and a telescope

Enjoyable stroll through the woods on our way to Harlow Carr. People walking. Dogs playing. Birds singing. We loved the little fairy doors.

Great for a picnic, a dog walk. The woods are perfect for a walk to Bettys for lunch or to the RHS and also lead down to the top of the Valley gardens. At the moment their are cute fairy doors dotted along the paths...More

On a hot day, there is nothing better than to escape to this cool sanctuary. Plenty of seats to sit and enjoy the view. Loved it.

No visit to Valley Gardens is complete without a walk through The Pinewoods. There are plenty of benches along the trail so you can take your time going through. The views are amazing. We saw squirrels, woodpeckers, nuthatches, robins and sparrows A beautiful place indeed
