First, logistics. The walk from the car park to the actual falls is just a little over half a mile, one way. The foot path is well-maintained and, for the most part, it's an easy walk (i.e. there are no steep climbs, only gradual hills...More

Great to revisit Mahon Falls in the Comeragh Mountains again for a brisk and healthy walk. This is well worth a visit and is accessible from the Dungarvan to Kilmacthomas road. The waterfall is spectacular and the shadow from the sun is extraordinary.

Yes would agree is lead is the best as it is an open area and sheep are all around. That said it is a great place for a walk.
