As my family had a hand in the building of this church, I can't wait to call in when I'm passing. A real treasure in history

St. Peter's Church is beautiful in the midst of Drogheda near a few other historical areas and some cobblestone roads. An extra bonus was seeing St. Oliver Plunkett's head and reading the information about how he became a saint.

I was moved by the beauty of the church and the solemnous of mass. It is a centerpiece location in Drogheda in the heart of city centre. Also, for those interested in relics St. Peters contains the remains of St. Oliver Plunkett's head.

St. Peter's Church is right downtown in Drogheda. Certainly worth stopping to see! It's beautiful inside and out and is famous for housing the National Shrine to St. Oliver Plunkett. The shrine is very elaborate and contains the preserved head of the saint.
