Visits MUST be booked in advance to avoid disappointment. Coolwater, a wonderfully different garden on half an acre, steps to the beat of a different drum with its absolutely breathtaking Water Garden, many stunning alpine troughs chockerblock with choice specimens and the almost chimerical West Garden but don't expect lawns and borders in this garden! Overlooked to one side by Skule Hill and to the other by Rockstown Castle, it has been designed for year round structure and shape. The ponds together with the watergarden have also encouraged a superabundance of aquatic wildlife. N.B. ALWAYS phone and make an appointment in advance.

Thank you for your lovely review, Mandy. Sorry that it was so cold that day but that's the Irish weather; cold one minute, warm the next. raining one minute, dry the next. You enjoyed it anyway: our first visitors from Malta. :)
