Lovely location not far from the city centre for a walk around. We took the 304 bus from the city to the university and it only took 15 mins over and 30 minutes back. Enjoyable walks with plenty of families and dogs around! Will absolutely go back

Came out to the university from town for a walk about. Went back to the sports pitches and their was an ultimate frisbee tournament going on. Thoroughly enjoyed watching a game and then took the River Walk back to town.

Perfect place to go if you are looking for a nice walk that's out of the city but not too far. So many different avenues and routes to go with plenty to see too. Really love returning here every time we are in Limerick.

I have visited the campus at least four times and there is lots to see. Great grounds for walking around, exhibitions in the Concert Hall - saw two this visit, one of water colours and the other of photographs.
We got 304 bus from the city out and it took about 20 minutes off peak.

The Concert Hall has frequent performances - we went to a first rate classical music concert. The auditorium has excellent acoustics.

Brought my son here for the October open day and was very impressed.
I wished that I was the one thinking of going.
There seems to no need to leave the campus, all your need is available on site.
Bars,Cafes, library, bank machines, bicycles, gym, swimming pool, the list goes on.

A lovely walk which is regularly signposted so you cannot get lost - take a camera to shoot the wildlife and some interesting old stone bridges

Our family will be staying at the University this summer, my children are taking part in a soccer tournament. Can the kids use the pools on campus? Are there on campus activities for the kids to do (ages 11& 12). Thanks, Maria

Hello Maria,
I am really sorry for the late reply. Yes, kids are allowed to use the swimming pool in UL arena. You can check the pool's timetable on UL arena's web page.
I hope you enjoyed your stay in Limerick
Best regards

Merci

I am considering bringing a group to visit Limerick as the part of a larger tour of the West of Ireland. The three city bases we are considering are Cork, Limerick, and Galway. I plan for the group to spend a minimum of two days in each city, and three in one of the three aforementioned cities. Which of the three would have more interest for a university group? Thank you in advance for your help.

Galway would be best, as the city itself if really popular with tourists and there's a great vibe there. The countryside is beautuful there. Also has lots of tourist attractions near by like connemara, the aran islands etc.
