Visited in mid October. The house was closed during my visit - which is a pity as it looked wonderful. The gardens were lovely though and were perfect for an autumn stroll.

Beside great guided tour we had a pleasant walk around the demesne gardens and lake. Parking just outside the house and tea rooms on site.

What I loved about this house is that when the owner Cholmeley Harrison presented it to the people of Ireland his personal effects were left in place so that there are framed photographs of his family about the place which make the tour much more...More
