The medieval mile museum told us who the Rothes were. This made this museum more interesting. A realistic example of the households of the time. The gardens were impressive too.

Home of the Kilkenny archaeological society it has a lovely garden at the back which you reach through a series of medieval courtyards. Museum of local newspapers here too, very interesting.

Recently had the pleasure of bringing my team and colleagues from around the world to Kilkenny for a 3 day meeting at Rothe House. We had a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend Rothe House for your next corporate offsite!

Decided to stop here on a whim. Very reasonably priced, and it's self-guided so we could go along at our own pace. It was absolutely lovely to stop and read about all of the details to do with the structure, how the residents lived, and...More

We took a fabulous walking tour of Kilkenny and our guide highly recommended a visit to the Rothe House and Gardens. It is a well preserved home with great architecture and historical records. They've also recreated what the family gardens would have looked like which...More
