Expecting just ‘another castle’ we were pleasantly surprised by the well done restoration and the helpful guide and explanation. The fact it still exists is a tribute to the skill it was built with.

We loved this tour, our guide Peter was excellent. We learned very different things we never knew. Wonderful grounds to walk around and take a boat ride.

time didn't allow for guided tour as we had booked the boat ride, but the exhibit was fantastic. Model of the Castle was a delight and the history from pre 1000 structure forward was very detailed and easy to read.

The Ross Castle B&B is in Oldcastle County Meath and not the one in Killarney. There is a disclaimer in their website.
