The Gore of Galway has been operating historical walking tours for the last six years. Tours depart from the Failte Ireland (tourist office) on Forster st, Galway. Current tours: Mondays at 5 PM, Wednesdays at 5 PM, Fridays at 5 PM, Saturdays at 2 PM, Private tours and special interest tours can be booked by arrangement. Discounts available for groups of 10+ Costs: Adults 8 Euro, but all accompanied children are free. NEW CLADDAGH RING TOUR. Available from mid-may. Sats at 4 PM

Here for a intercultural communications course. Neil gave us an excellent interactive tour. Most tour guides bore the sh!t out of me bit this was the opposite. I was extremely interested in everything he had to offer.

Great guide and friendly tour.We visited a the main places of interest in Galway and enjoyed hearing some tales of city life in the past. Pick up the leaflet at the visitors centre.

Been to Galway a few times but this was a great way to find out more about the place. Liam was friendly and informative and I would recommend this walking tour to anyone.

What a great way to get to know the city and its secrets. Liam was a fantastic guide and had a great sense of humour. It really awakens your interest on learning more about the city.

This was a good way to see Galway and the hidden treasures around the city. Very interesting history if that is what you like.
