One of the few traditional libraries left in Dublin. Beautiful, great atmosphere, great selection and even better customer service. They have an area for toddlers to play in the children section. My kids loved it and I did too. Would highly recommend it.

We didn’t even get a chance to see every room here. It’s extensive in size and selection. The Irish history section was almost overwhelming, as was the Irish literature. We hope to go back before we leave the island.

How lucky we were to stumble upon Hodges Figgis during our first, brief visit to Dublin! Such a delightful place, from the inviting, pretty storefront that draws you in, to the several floors inside the shop, lined with bookshelves and filled with interesting and tempting...More

Lovely old world bookshop. Its stock isn't trapped in the 19th century however, and it stocks a wide range of the latest releases. Easons has nothing on it. I'd argue that it is the best bookshop in Dublin. Even though it is now part of...More

Set some time aside to visit this old fashioned bookstore. Filled with nooks and crannies there is at least a dozen books there for everyone! The cook book section I found dreamy and brought home a couple treasures to remember Ireland in my kitchen.

I've lost count of how many (fruitful!) hours I've spent wandering this bookshop. Great selection of books, helpful and informative staff. Head to their basement also for nice bargains.

Very good bookshop in Dublin, close to Trinity College Dublin. The staff were helpful, and offered to order in a book for me that they didn't have in stock. I highly recommend this place!

I've been to Hodges & Figgis multiple times now since my arrival in Dublin. I LOVE IT. Sometimes just walking past it urges me to go on- it is how all bookstores should be like. Spread over 3 floors, it provides anything you could possibly...More

There once was a time when there existed huge bookshops with nooks and crannies and comfortable seating. Those days have largely disappeared, which made finding this one an unexpected pleasure. The stock of books is astounding, and there are comfortable chairs located throughout the store...More

We spent a wonderful hour here and if you're a fan of how bookshops used to be then this is the place to go. Absolutely thousands of interesting books to browse. We'd never go back to Dublin without visiting this place. Shame that they didn't...More
