Glasnevin Cemetery and Museum are both the guardians and storytellers for over 1.5 million people. From the ordinary to the truly extraordinary, these people helped shape the Ireland of today. We want to share their stories and times with you through tours of the cemetery, a visit to the museum or through a genealogy search for your family history. We are a not-for-profit organisation and all proceeds are used to sustain and improve our cemeteries to ensure they are places of beauty, interest and intrigue.

We did the afternoon guided tour which started with the reenactment of Pearse's graveside speech. It was quite rousing. I really enjoyed the O'Connell crypt. Informative guide about influential people buried there. Tour seemed a bit long towards the end but I'm sure that's because...More

Just been on the afternoon tour of the cemetery. This took two hours (and we only saw a tiny part). The guide gave a spectacular tour she spoke incredibly knowledgeable about all the graves we visited. At no time did the tour drag. I coupled...More

Lovely place to visit. Was very interesting but hard to get around even with a map - would recommend definitely going on a tour.

You'll learn so many little human stories and facts you never knew before. The tour guides are brilliant! It was even better that we anticipated. Recommend a pint of the black stuff in The Gravediggers after.

We were at mid-term tales today and our tour guides were Alan and Warren. I have to say, they were very good and put alot of fun it! It only cost €7 and well worth it.

The cemetery is beautiful and boasts many famous residents. The historical tour was long and dry though. You can download the app and take a self guided tour for cheaper and it provides much more freedom to explore and enjoy at your own pace.
