Glasnevin Cemetery and Museum are both the guardians and storytellers for over 1.5 million people. From the ordinary to the truly extraordinary, these people helped shape the Ireland of today. We want to share their stories and times with you through tours of the cemetery, a visit to the museum or through a genealogy search for your family history. We are a not-for-profit organisation and all proceeds are used to sustain and improve our cemeteries to ensure they are places of beauty, interest and intrigue.

Excellent tour and learnt heaps about the interns. Friend and foe, famous and infamous are mingled throughout. The Padraig Pearce speech delivered in full military uniform and volume was very moving and motivating, as it was in 1915. Dan O’Connell’s crypt was becoming of the...More

Excellent tour and excellent value at 13 euros... Have returned home seeking further research... Wrap up warm in the colder weather... 2.80 euros from O'Connell street on bus, one way, and drops you right outside.

This tour was fantastic, the guide was extremely knowledgeable and never faltered. The grounds are well kept and there is an incredible atmosphere, it really is a beautiful cemetery steeped in history. Would highly recommend the tour.

I'd say not. The tour is quite long and probably not very interesting for the average 10 year old. Perhaps the shop staff at Glasnevin could suggest some interesting headstones to visit instead and you could make your own... More
