Absolutely loved visiting here. So much history involved in the place from the past to present day. Did a Self Guided tour, which was €8 & was lovely to see the history of the place in each of the rooms. Highly recommended

Lucky for us, the Dublin Castle is one of the stops on the Hop On Hop Off bus tour. So, easy to get to. We spent about an hour and a half wandering through the rooms, seeing paintings, furniture and reading about the history. I...More

I'm really glad we took the guided tour here, I don't think we would have gotten much out of our visit if we only took the self guided one. We had a great guide, who told us some interesting things. When we arrived at the...More

This was a stop on our city tour that we enjoyed. Seeing the furnished rooms and decor was interesting and the over all experience was good. They do ask that you leave your bag in a locker upon arrival.

It wasn't that easy to actually find the castle from the shopping streets but once there we had to queue up to exchange our online pre-booked tickets for real tickets - thought that was a bit frustrating as although we were in time for our...More

I think the entry fee for this site is pretty high, especially considering how short the limited tour is. It is also disappointing that much of the castle isn't really traditional looking anymore. When you see pictures you think it will be a great medieval...More

The castle tour was interesting and a welcome out of the cold activity. The anecdotes about royalty was a nice touch by the tour guide but the bonus was the recording of Christmas Eve carols for TV when we were there so magical! Café and...More

Dublin Castle has lockers for backpacks, but we cannot accommodate anything that will not fit - small cabin-sized suitcases are usuall okay.
