Worthwhile, you must visit this jail. Very impressive, great guide. Learnt alot about Irish history. It is good that the prison was restored, the story must be told

Neither of us realised this was top on Trip Advisor but we can definitely see why! The trip is informative and, especially on the late afternoon with it getting darker, a little eerie! Thank you to Joanne for a great tour!

When making plans to visit, I didn't realize how much of an Irish history lesson we would get through the tour. I would highly recommend visiting Kilmainham Gaol. It was an interesting and old building to walk through.

This was a short drive from the Fitzwilliam hotel. In my opinion this is a must see/do when in Dublin. Really interesting to see and hear the stories of prisoners during that time in history. You can walk through the cells and drafty hallways---really cool

Found the tour really interesting, greatly told by the older gent tour guide with a stick. He was around after to answer any questions as well which was great!

The tour itself is one hour. You are asked to arrive 15 minutes before your tour begins and you are directed to gather in a courtroom. Then your guide comes and calls your tour time. If you want to browse the museum... More
