We stopped in on a Wednesday and loved everything about the place, the crowd, beer, and music. I had so much fun, I went back on Thursday. Best decision of my 15 day trip. Whoa! The crowd was huge. Standing room only. Elbow to elbow....More

Went to this pub at the recommendation of our tour guide. Found it easily. Wow. Just what you think of in an Irish pub. Dark walls, close tables and yet a homey atmosphere. Had a pint of Guinness. Wonderful. Followed the rule of letting it...More

After checking in at the Shelbourne - we headed straight to O’Donoghue’s for a Guinness (or two). What a great intro to Ireland’s pubs - super small, great vibe, and nice staff. The bartender made several restaurant recommendations and gave us many tips. Luck of...More

Saturday night the bar was packed, the music lively and the patron's mostly smashed. We didn't bother to order a drink, just listened to the music. A girl with the band would occasionally get up and do an Irish jig. This place offers a lot...More

This place is an institution in the Dublin Pub scene. There is always music on the go and a great atmosphere. Small pub grub menu - the food is okay - not great. But the Guinness is worth the visit.

Had our first meal in Ireland here -- the Irish Stew was absolutely perfect. Perfectly seasoned meat and potatoes in a perfect broth with perfect bread. I could neither envision nor achieve such perfection in New York. The draft Guinness was also perfect. I don't...More

Great stop for a sneaky pint- that’s what the locals call it when you have just one. The music and the atmosphere make it an enjoyable stop for a rest or, in my case, a relaxing pint before heading to a fine dinner.
