Worth a stop off here to plan your visit to the area. You then discover a few hidden treasures like Inchmahome Priory on the Lake of Menteith and the lovely boat trip to get there

aberfoyle is a lovely village it has a number of shops , eating places, bars and hotels, also has a visitor centreet where the staff are very helpful

They have a great selection of souvenirs, plus they have free single sheet of paper maps. One of these maps we found better than any we had purchased.More

60 miles. Motorway to Stirling then country road to Aberfoyle. Takes 1 hour 20 mins. Public transport - Train to Stirling then Bus but have not done this.
