My husband and I did a short walk to the Black Spout Wood to view the waterfall. We were parked at Blair Atholl Distillery waiting on a tour so we took the short walk to Black Spout Wood. It is possible to park even closer...More

We had a nice walk up to the black spout waterfall which was more impressive than we were expecting as I don’t think this waterfall gets a lot of attention. We only popped up to the viewing platform but I think you can carry on...More

This is a very large area and can be accessed from many different points. But if you are in the centre of Pitlochry then it is about 25 minutes walk to the waterfall but well worth the time. Dog walkers, locals and tourists alike can...More

Decided to walk to the whisky distillery via the black spout track through the wood. The track in places is steep, narrow and rocky so wear sturdy footwear. Not much to recommend in the way of scenery ir birdlife and no wildlife that we could...More

We walked this trail after our tour of Edraour. It's an easy stroll through the woods with minimal incline. The black spout is a pretty waterfall and is easily accessible from the trail. This is a wonderful way to return to town after a visit...More

Loved the view you get of this waterfall. We packed in the car park and took the path directly to the black spout. It was a small hike but worth it for th.e view

A fine walk from the Atholl Palace Hotel to the waterfall. The path can be a bit narrow in places though. If walking on to the distillery from the waterfall, be aware that the path can be VERY overgrown in summer, especially the path beside...More

Well sign posted walk. Beautiful waterfall. Great views when walking to Edradour Distillery. Not far from Bus/train stops. Car park.

This is an easy walk from the centre of town/Pitlochry. Woods, stream, open rolling hills and field up to the Edradour Distillery. You can take the tour, try a few single malts and then walk back into town. Sweet way to spend an afternoon rain...More

The walk from the car park to the viewing platform is pretty short and in dry weather the paths are easily manageable even for a toddler but rather steep but I’m sure you’ll be keeping hold of them so well worth the effort
