Scone Palace - a 5 star historic house visitor attraction. Visit Scone Palace, a must-see iconic Scottish location, where a warm welcome awaits you. Immerse yourself in Scotland's history as you experience the crowning place of Scottish kings. Stand on the Moot Hill, where the Kings of Scots were inaugurated, and later crowned on the famous Stone of Scone. Enjoy the palace and its rare and beautiful collections including French furniture gifted by Marie Antoinette and bed-hangings worked on by Mary, Queen of Scots. Explore the glorious grounds and gardens including the David Douglas Pavilion, Pinetum and Murray Star Maze. Stop off at the Old Servants' Hall Coffee shop and enjoy one of our delicious home baking including a scone at Scone! Visit our gift and food shops where you will find an abundance of quality Scottish gifts and homemade preserves. Visiting May to October, look out for our 'Dido Belle - Her Story Exhibition.' There are few paintings which attract as much interest and admiration as that of the portrait of Lady Elizabeth Murray and Dido Elizabeth Belle, by Johann Zoffany, which hangs in the Ambassadors Room at Scone Palace. Their lives, and in particular Dido's, is brought to life by the film 'Belle;' our exhibition will tell the story of her extraordinary life. Weddings, meetings and special occasions - whether you're planning a celebration with family and friends, corporate hospitality or a product launch, Scone Palace combines a unique heritage and stunning location with the services of a dedicated team of professionals focused on ensuring your event is a glittering success from start to finish.

We loved the castle, reading about the history and strolling the lovely grounds. We enjoyed learning about the family that still resides there. The guides were pleasant and helpful! The peacocks were spectacular!
