A great way of breaking a journey into smaller items is to visit some of the most glorious islands in the UK. We visited Arran for our second year and on this occasion played the Lamlash golf course. What a treat. Up the hills and...More

I turned up to play Lamlash mid afternoon and the guy in the starter hut could not have been more helpful. He really made me feel welcome and took time to explain the course. At £12 for the round it was great value but once...More

OK so I have been playing here for over 40 years but simply put this is the best course on the Isle of Arran. It is a bit hilly and challenging but in great condition. If you are looking for a bargain then book at...More

Although not particularly long this course proved to be very challenging. We had a lovely sunny day and the course looked fantastic with spectacular views. I am a high handicapper and thought this course was hard, I lost 7 balls lol - if you're not...More

This is a great course which is currently in good condition. It has some cracking holes with fantastic views, although there are a few poor holes when you cross the road at the far end of the course. Definitely one of the better courses on...More

I think there are 7 golf courses on Arran and for over the 40 years we have been coming to Arran I think that the Lamlash course has remained the best for an all round test of golf and the best for views. You certainly...More

4 of us played on a lovely Saturday June afternoon. The fairways, greens and bunkers are perfectly manicured. The holes are shortish but physically demanding. The staff are friendly. The views to the Holy Isle are spectacular, well worth a game!

on a wet day (mostly) we four played Lamlash GC. Course super for a variety of decent golfers (H/c's 8-18). Only disappointment was no food available. Club house good, facilities and she OK too.
