Great castle and a wonderful position; cannot fault it. I would highly recommend a visit to this historical building. The interior is as interesting as the exterior. Lovely to see the castle and family supporting the local shinty team. There is a dedicated room for...More

Busy place with tourists but well worth stopping off for a visit. The location is beautiful - it has to be seen to be appreciated. One of my favourite castles in Scotland. Don't drive by! Seating available outside at the waters edge looking over the...More

This castle looks fabulous, dominating the loch. It appears older than it is. Its also very popular. We arrived at 10, parking was still available and we got ahead of some coach parties who were visiting. Having driven passed later in the day there are...More

More like a vanity project. No original structure but all early 1900's construction made to look old. Built in porcelain wash stands and running water in bed chambers. Furniture and "historical documents are almost all 20th century. Picturesque and interesting but a Disney-like reproduction.

The view of this castle, especially at high tide in the evening at sunset are breathtaking. It was rebuilt in the 1920's, so it's not very old in it's present form. But still very cool to tour and learn about.

Certainly worth stopping as it is a dream like setting. Just stopping and taking pictures is worth the price. A lot of tourists and groups. The interior isn’t much or even historic. Just a nice place to take pics.

I had heard it described as a fairy tale castle, but then I saw it and it made sense. The picturesque setting, Isle of Skye in the background, the bridge over the water, its just beautiful. The history behind it is pretty amazing too. Members...More
