Not the largest castle by any means, but full of character and beautiful setting. They had a lock of Bonnie Prince Charles hair, and lots of other memorable antiques.

The view of this castle is stunning. The interior was smaller than I expected, but the history is amazing.

We stopped on way to Skye. Fabulous location and imagination goes wild wondering how they built it and who occupied it. Nicely preserved whats left of it. Can get crowded with coach parties

It was charming to look at, but we discovered that it us a recent rebuild from ruins. There are some interesting artefacts inside. A bit.of fun for kids.

Busy small car park, get there early! Shop and restaurant very busy. Make sure you get the audio guide - brings everything to life and you can move around the castle at your pace, exploring all. Some stair cases are small which is to be...More

I’d heard so much about this Castle and seen so many amazing pictures of it that I guess my expectations were too high. I’m not at all sorry that I went, but it wasn’t even in the top 5 of the castles I’ve seen since...More

We should have taken a photo of this picturesque castle and lochs from the parking lot and moved on. The ticket to get inside is expensive and many of the displays were cheesy: kitchen had mannequin chefs with plasticized drumsticks and salmon filets!! Enough said.

We chose this castle as it’s been pretty heavily rated as the prettiest castle in Scotland. The entrance fee is vey reasonable, and includes an audio guide. You were able to explore a good portion of the castle which was nice.

The view, either of the castle or of the three lochs, is stunning and I would definitely recommend it. The visit of the castle however is a bit pricy compared to the few rooms inside, even though there is an audio guide included.

Our day trip to Eilean Donan castle was perfect. Tickets were 10 pounds each and we tought that was pretty reasonable price but for some people that might be too much 🤔😊

Unfortunately I am not too sure if the car park or area can be accessed after visit hours, i.e extent of closure. However you can get a view from the nearby bridge - great view, assuming you can stop at a safe spot. You can... More

I don't believe dogs are allowed in the castle. You can email or call to check, but when we visited we did not see a single dog in the castle.
