Visually fabulous castle, with stunning photographic opportunities. Evocative setting, with centuries of history unfolded.

This castle is such a landmark. It is absolutely necessary to stop and get a glimpse of history and take in the sights, and get an understanding of the historical significance of this great castle which stands at a major strategic location for the highlands...More

More like a vanity project. No original structure but all early 1900's construction made to look old. Built in porcelain wash stands and running water in bed chambers. Furniture and "historical documents are almost all 20th century. Picturesque and interesting but a Disney-like reproduction.

The view of this castle, especially at high tide in the evening at sunset are breathtaking. It was rebuilt in the 1920's, so it's not very old in it's present form. But still very cool to tour and learn about.

Certainly worth stopping as it is a dream like setting. Just stopping and taking pictures is worth the price. A lot of tourists and groups. The interior isn’t much or even historic. Just a nice place to take pics.

This was one of my favorite castles on our Scotland tour. It is a photo opt in the making. Visit early if you can and avoid the tour buses - if not go when you can do not miss this one!

We had been looking forward to visiting this castle for ages. First problem we had was parking. The car parked were full and this was on a pouring wet day at 11am. The loos were the first stop after a two hour drive to get...More

No, it is a good half hour drive from the station in Kyle of Lochalsh. The best I can suggest is that you speak to one of the local private hire firms who run a taxi service and check out how much it might cost you. You... More
