Our adult son traveled with us to Scotland, and with him being a total Scotch afficionado, it was a given that we needed to take a Whisky tour. We liked the idea of a more personalized experience, as he had a few specific places he wanted to visit. I found John and his company, Aye Tours through Facebook, and booked two tours - the Isle of Skye tour and this Speyside Whisky Tour. With the Whisky tour, I expressed my son's interest in a few distilleries and John knocked it out of the park for him! He and my son "talked whisky" all day, We not only enjoyed some lovely malts, the scenery wasn't too bad either! John asked us if his wife, Teri, could join us as she looks after the marketing for Aye Tours and needed some pictures. We were delighted for her to join us and they truly make a great team. It was a wonderful day, our son was delighted, and the best part was that we felt like we made new friends!

Thank you for such a lovely review. It was a pleasure taking you on our whisky tour. Thanks also for allowing Teri to join us. She now has a penchant for whisky toddies and the occasional gin. I'm blaming big Corey for that. It was great meeting you all for a very relaxed tasting and we hope to see you all again in the future. All the best. Your friends. John and Teri.

My husband, son, and I planned for two weeks in Scotland with 6 of those days to be spent in the Highlands. Our trip was self-directed but without a car, so it was up to me to find the tours that we were most interested in. We all wanted to see as much beautiful scenery as possible and learn some things along the way. I came across Aye Tours through a Scotland travel group on Facebook. I liked the idea of a bespoke tour rather than being with a lot of other travelers. It was a great decision and money well spent! John is a very charming fellow, possesses boundless energy, and is a fount of knowledge of everything Scotland. Skye is unbelievably beautiful, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Two days later, we took his Speyside Whisky Tour! Thank you, John, for making the day such a wonderful part of our trip to the UK! We will remember it forever, and hope to see you again some day!

John was fantastic and really went above and beyond on our tour of the Highlands and Speyside! He and Teri were able to accommodate a custom itinerary for my wife and I, and on the day, John actually threw in a few extra interesting stops throughout our original route that we would have missed otherwise. We were on a schedule but we never felt rushed at all, and John was even able to hunt down one of the few lunch spots that were open in the late afternoon (which we really needed after our delicious Glenfiddich whisky tastings). He regaled us with stories and knowledge of Scotland's history during the drives, and even gave an impromptu ceremony for my wife, making her an honorary member of Clan MacGillivray. This was truly an experience we'll never forget and can't thank Aye Tours enough for such a great day.

Our guide John is a master storyteller and historian. We had a wonderful day. He explained Scottish history by making us Characters in the play. He is wonderful and made the journey to Skye Informative and interesting. We were blessed with fantastic weather and stunning views. My husband noted how clean the air is. Skye is magnificent and a must in visiting the Highlands. John’s tour was the highlight of our two week trip to the UK. John owns his company so we were pleased to support a local business. Highly highly recommend. Plus… Whisky! A few drams along the way always help make the day!
