Just an empty car part and a few signs giving some details about the plant. Would have been nice to have an enclosed area with more information on the plant. Wouldn't need to be manned so would cost very little. i personally enjoyed being there...More

This should really be removed as a visitor attraction as per other reviews there really is nothing to see here, unless you count the workers vehicles parked on the onetime airfield. It should not even merit a '1'.

The Old Power Station is now being decommissioned and has around 2,000 people working on it. Really not much to see from the viewing area now its not working. 2.9 Billion Pounds in the current budget to decommission this old nuclear power station

Can only see from the road, look like any industrial building really. Nice beaches around it though!

No longer open as it is being decommissioned but Caithness Horizons have an excellent exhibition on Dounreay which is worth a visit.

Experimental (at the time it was built) nuclear facility, located where it is because it was the safest possible place for people in London if anything went wrong. (That's a fact, you can look it up.) Thankfully being decommissioned and in 20 years or so...More

If you are traveling round the area, Its hard to miss. Its currently being decommissioned so you can only see it from the road now. DONE
