Wife and I took the longest and steepest walk (you only need to be reasonably fit & sensible with footwear & clothes). It was well worth it - we say deer / stags on the hillside which was really nice. The views when you have...More

Lovely walk, but has in the last few years CCTV installed. Apparently it's to monitor nature but I lived in Aviemore for 21 years. It wasnt necessary then and it's only necessary now to southerners who have a weirdness for filming everything. Scottish Natural Heritage...More

We visited on a Wednesday afternoon after having a somewhat interesting wild weather trip to Loch an Eilein nearby! We had parked in Aviemore town centre as we'd visited the shops before going on our walk. The walk is well sign posted and our dog...More

Did this hill (quite steep) on the day of arrival as a gentle (!) introduction to the Cairngorms. Great views from the top which is bare. Lovely woodland walk up there. Slippery when wet.

I went a wander with the dog and didn't know what to expect. This was gorgeous! The sun was out, the paths were quiet and we loved every second of it. The path to the sumit was a bit steep but the walk was wonderful!

Aviemore and the surrounding areas really are spoiled for choice when it comes to great walking/hiking routes....and this was another of them. Well worth a wander if you have half a day free to roam.
