- Kathryn N1 contributionamazing experience, such helpful staff too!!we did this escape room for my boyfriend’s 21st birthday, and our guides/helpers Drew and Jaime were SO amazing and funny, and did a great job of explaining the game and helping us out when we hit a wall! my friends and i are all really competitive and hate asking for help, so them giving us advice whenever we looked stuck was so helpful. both of them were really engaged and attentive, so grateful!! thank you both so much!!Visited January 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 31 January 2024
- Jim1 contributionA great time had by all! This was booked for 7 children, aged 10, as a birthday experience. They all had a fantastic time! The experience was tailored (slightly) to be more appropriate to children of their age, and it was a great balance between being achievable and taxing. The staff were excellent.....very friendly and helpful! I would definitely come back again!Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten 4 February 2024
- Andrea P4 contributionsWould recommend this for a teen party! My daughter and 8 of her friends went to Riddle Rooms for her birthday. They were in "The Mansion Room"and they all had a blast! We were given a tablet with a live video stream (no audio) so we could watch their progress in the game. Everyone at Riddle Rooms was very friendly and enthusiastic.Visited February 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 7 February 2024

Everything was explained well prior to entering the room and the costumes and photo was a brilliant extra adding to the fun. - Safari572776759171 contributionGood experience! Would recommendVery fun! The set dressing was very good, and I thought the smell especially was very accurate to a doctor's/dentist's office, which added a real air of authenticity. The hints were helpful, without giving too much away. Our hint giver and tour guide, Emily was very friendly and helpful, she made it a really great experienceVisited February 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 12 February 2024
- Nicola_2597Glasgow, United Kingdom6 contributionsGreat experienceCame for a work leaving event and we had a great time. We did the Mansion House room and the clues were very clever. Our “ghosts” Felix and Meg were very welcoming and helpful. We all said we’d love to try the other two rooms! Thank you.Visited February 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 17 February 2024
- Max AGlasgow, United Kingdom2 contributionsAitke-InnesThe staff, Aimee, was attentive from the m minute we arrived. Her brief for the task ahead was spot on. She expertly guided us when we required it and helped the team overcome the failings of the padlocks and the barrel (through over-use over time). Aimee made you feel welcome, she easily inter-mingled and laughed alongside the team. Aimee is a credit to the business and we look forward to determining a date for a future visit.Visited February 2024Travelled with familyWritten 19 February 2024

Brilliant experience at the Riddle Rooms for our work team building event! We were a team of 35 people (from 20 to 60 years old), and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. We split our team across Mansion, Spy and Burns rooms. They even adjusted the times for us, so that all our games could start at the same time, and the Spy game (which is normally 60 minutes) could also have 75 minutes, same as the Burns room. Our Mansion team felt challenged to make it out in 75 minutes instead of the 90 minutes, too, which added to the adrenaline (we made it in 80 in the end)! I was in the Mansion Room team, and it was so much fun, we had loads of laughs. We had to really work together to solve the riddles, too. Would 100% recommend this place for any work teams, we had a total blast, we will keep talking about it for months to come. It's definitely one of the best team building activities in Glasgow that you can do. Oh, and of course, thanks for all the lovely staff members for making our experience great!

My group attended the Halloween themed escape room on the 1st November and I cannot recommend more. The live actors and 11pm slot really added to the scare experience, and the puzzles were so much fun as well. Massive credits to the staff too for being so friendly and engaging from the safety brief to when we left. We hope to be back soon :)

My 10 year old twin girls and some of their friends just went and done the mansion room and they had the best time. The staff where extremely welcoming, informative and helpful. We booked the extra 30 mins so the kids could eat and I think it was well worth the price. We will definitely be back 😃

During Storm Dennis our flat developed a substantial leak on the day we were booked in. I phoned and asked to move our time slot to later on in evening (so emergency work could be performed), we were told no. I asked to move booking to a different day, we again were told no. We were given no other option but to miss the booking and we have lost our money. Complete lack of empathy or flexibility under what was a pretty unique situation. All they have done is ensure we will never book with them again.

Dear Paul, it is always good to have feedback on how we do, when the feedback is reflecting true facts, is fair and honest. I must state that your review is not quite like that.
The facts: Your game was booked for 21st Friday with an Itison voucher you bought at 50% discount. Such a discount always comes with the limitation of other services such as flexibility (option to reschedule, last minute cancellations), and validity (this voucher is only valid in February except Saturdays). You did call shortly before your booked start time, (a last minute action), still, your request could have been accommodated if that was a case of emergency. Now. You are referring to storm Dennis, which hit Scotland on the 15th and left the country on the 17th. Referring to it in a call 4 days later did not, and still does not seem to be an immediate emergency situation. In fact it is fair to assume that the damage to your home appeared earlier allowing you a lot longer lead time to call us and arrange for a change in your booking, exactly as many other customers of ours did and we accommodated all of their requests, rescheduled games free of charge, even refunded bookings. You were explained on the phone on 21st Friday, that after your originally booked 5 pm game we did not have availability, we were fully booked.
Now, one might wonder, what sort of a real emergency it is that prevents one from playing at 5 pm, however allows them to play at 6 or 7 pm the same day?....
On your voucher this is clearly stated: "Vouchers are non-refundable once booked with The Room Glasgow and cancellations will result in forfeiting your voucher."
You had a confirmed booking, you wanted to cancel last minute referring to a storm 4 days earlier, asked for a reschedule for later the same day however the day was fully booked. As a result, your voucher got forfeited.
AT FIRST ONLY. We did call you a few days later and OFFERED TO PLAY YOUR GAME, and your response was: “Thank you, will discuss at home and call you back”. However, you never called, never responded to repeat calls and emails. So to close my response Mr M: I would advise you to write reviews in the future that are truthful and accurate in describing the context and course of events.

We visited as a group of 4 to do the wild west room, having done all other rooms (except the mansion, which needs a much larger team than we have). On previous visits when we have done the Amnesia room, it was not reset properly and we ended up finding our way right to the last area within minutes, so had to be taken out for the room to be reset properly.
This time though, the Wild West room was not reset properly, so we found things before we should have, which meant we wasted lots of time trying to solve a puzzle we shouldn't yet have even seen.
There was also a screwdriver left in the room, which we asked "should this be here", and received no response, so ended up trying to find a way to use it, and despite trying to do so the Game master didn't tell us we were wrong or anything.
Generally, didn't find the puzzles in the room flowed well, and also didn't find that the "mission" of the game made much sense to us (I won't say too much about this to spoil the story for other players).
The last puzzle we failed on and got locked in, but when asking for some clarification on the puzzle the game master didn't seem to know how it worked, and we left confused as to how it actually should have been solved.
We did then get a call back shortly after leaving from a different women to explain the game master was on this game for the first time, and wanted to explain puzzle to us, but by this time we were in a restaurant, so she emailed us the details of the puzzle. In fairness, fully accept that people are learning a new game or otherwise, but it just seemed like our game wasn't well observed by the games master, there was little to no apology for the room being reset incorrectly, nor any apology for the screwdriver being left, and in fact we were ask "did we not think this looked out of place in the room"... Yes we did, which is why we asked and got no response.
We've done pretty much every escape room in Glasgow, and some of this companies rooms have been good, but just found it went wrong a few times, and my advise would be when things go wrong look after the customer and make it worth thier while to come back, lucky to get an apology let alone a good will gesture from these couple of wee negative experiences we had.

Visited as a group of four to take on the Spy Room. Our host, Maria, was super friendly and helpful, providing us with helpful hints during our time in the room. The puzzles were challenging but not too difficult. We had a fun afternoon and would definitely come back!

We've been in Glasgow for the week and have done 4 of the rooms at the Riddle Rooms.
We started with Mystery, on Wednesday, hosted by Camz. Both the room and the host were fantastic! We had such a fun time, we decided to come back and try another room.
On Thursday, we did Time Bandits with Zian. The room has a fun theme, some really good puzzles, and a lock that I've not seen in quite a while. We failed on one of the tasks, but got out of the room. When you get to where we were, you'll likely recognize what we got wrong, if your grasp of history is slightly better than ours.
We'd had so much fun, we came back on Friday, and did Amnesia, hosted by Barney.
This was a much more challenging room, with some really well done, challenging puzzles. Sadly, we did not make it out of this room. We got close, but not quite. Barney was really an excellent host, and provided us a few clues, but we got mired down in some unnecessary details. Don't do what we did. GET OUT!
As we're in town for one more full day, we decided to do one last room. We gave our best shot at Burns, which was hosted by Isla and Sarah. Both hosts were fantastic, and provided great background and clues where we needed.
Burns is recommended for three people, but there's only two of us. We got to within about 2 minutes of getting out, but just couldn't crack the last puzzle in time. For a room designed for at least three people, though, we think we did pretty darn well.
To Camz, Zian, Barney, Sarah and Isla: Thank you. You were all fabulous, friendly, and helpful hosts. The recommendations for restaurants, pubs and out of the way treasures were fantastic! Thank you for being such great hosts for the escape rooms!

Myself and some friends visited Riddle Rooms recently and played one of their 10 person rooms. We all had a great time, very engaging and inventive puzzles, and a fun setting.
In addition, I had contacted them a month prior regarding an unusual request that I was looking for. They were immediately very helpful and onboard with the idea, presenting different options for us even though it wasn't something they'd done before. I spoke with Cade and Izaac throughout the planning and they were extremely friendy and helpful, and the game itself was a blast. Everyone enjoyed themselves and I plan to come back soon. I would really recommend Riddle Rooms to anyone looking for a fun activity in or around Glasgow.

Really enjoyed the Spy room with a family of four, two adults and two in their late teens. Our moderator, Maria, gave us just enough clues to keep us going without giving too much away. Some really fun puzzles.
The venue was nice and the staff were really friendly and welcoming - would definitely recommend Riddle Rooms. I would like to try some of the other rooms.

This was mine and my boyfriend's first escape room, and my god was it a good one! We did the Wild West room which is one of their new games, so for two people who adore everything western, this was right up our alley. Sarah was our Game Master for the escape room and was brilliant at it, giving us clues when we clearly weren't sure what to do without simply telling us how to do things or giving the game away. We escaped the room in 57:10, which for our first time doing one of these, we're pretty proud of!
Overall, we had a really run time, a brilliant way to round off an already amazing day! We'll absolutely be going back to do some of the others there!

I want to book an escape room for September but am concerned that as your website says no cancellations I read that as we wouldn't get a refund if Covid restrictions prevented us from coming? We would be travelling from Wales, England and Scotland and as all of us (a party of 5) would like to take part and as we have to pay up front at the time of booking what guarantees do you offer for a refund if we are prevented because of government restrictions?
Written 4 March 2021
Hi Pauline,
should a lockdown or any other government restrictions happen in September, we would give you a full refund, or offer a free game rescheduling. We do hope, however, that by September our lives will be back to lot more normal :-).
See you in September!

The staff are outside the room during the game and provide some advice and guidance regarding clues. The only people in the room are you and your friends/family. Hope you enjoy.

There are stairs to enter the building then the corridor is very narrow just outside the rooms - however, once inside the room - that in itself is quite large, although not particularly ideal for wheelchairs due to items within the room - there would be some space to move around after you are intitally past the stairs at the entrance.
