Excellent location most of the time, but even better just now with the Christmas Markets. There are a wide selection of stalls and plenty of food and drink to be enjoyed.

Since the Christmas Market is there now, you can't really appreciate the square for what it is. That said, I imagine it is quite beautiful at other times of the year. This is where they also do the Santa Dash.

We went on the merry go round and enjoyed the sights and smells of the lovely Christmas market. A lovely area and it even had a nice virtual geocache! Result!

Statute of scholars and other famous people can be found there. It also can be seen some historical building. It is always good to walk in different streets and find the differences.

George Square is close to the centre of Glasgow and is home to several statues, the cenotaph and Glasgow city chambers. At this time of year, the square is being prepared for Christmas festivities
