There’s a visitors center in the main building, located directly across the hall from the university gift shop. Each day, at 2pm, there’s a campus tour (for visitors, rather than prospective students). The tour costs 10 pounds, and lasts about 45 minutes. It’s well worth...More

A beautiful campus, infused with history and easily accessible either via the subway or the hop on/hop off bus. They are currently constructing new buildings but the main building is untouched. Truly looks like hogwarts with an awesome echo.

This campus is absolutely beautiful and whether you are still in school, just graduated or are far removed from your studies, you can't miss the castle-like facilities. Head to the chapel to take pictures of the chapel's courtyard.

Starting at the beautiful front gate to the campus, everything is beautiful. The buildings are absolutely remarkable. If one were a student here, it would be hard to study as you would always want to be looking every which way to take in the beauty....More

Seems like something out of a Harry Potter book. For those used to modern American campuses, this is quite a revelation. Worth a visit.

Was visiting a friend in Glasgow when we decided to see the University. It was absolutely breathtaking and definitely a must see if you visit this city. Would love to visit again.

A must see - it looks ancient, and must be the inspiration for Hogwarts, beautiful architecture in a pleasant surrounding neighbourhood

Like Dublin and Belfast the University of Glasgow has a wonderful collection of buildings set within well maintained grounds. Across the Kelvin River from the Art Gallery and Museum the University s well worth a visit.

Our main object was the Mackintosh house but as the was still closed we visited the University buildings and the Hunteranian within... Very impressive architecture. But the signposts could be a bit clearer :)

They DO sell food to Joe public, in a place near the Hunterian Art gallery (it's signposted) but it is very expensive and not very good. Better to go to one of the many places on Byres Road.
