Gothic cathedral with lots of history. Was originally white but soothed black through the ages. Really liked this cathedral and if in the area, stop by. It's free and worth a visit.

I was impressed that this cathedral was free entry. There is opportunity to donate, and it's worth dropping in a few £. It's a stunning building with a lot of history inside. This became a must see while in Glasgow for me.

A short walk from the city center. Large cathedral, spires visible as you approach. Entrance is through a side portal. Large space, typical gothic, with a cold feel. Beautiful stained glass windows. Very atmospheric. The necropolis nearby is on a hill and offers great views...More

One of the many sad examples of religious vandalism and fanaticism in Scotland. Empty, gloomy interior with very few things to see.

Great medieval Gothic architecture. Definitely the best church in Glasgow and definitely worth a visit. I visited the cathedral multiple times both for sightseeing and for prayer.

All cathedrals are magnificent and this is too but what surprised us was the inside - lots of 'churches' in one as there are places of worship on the lower levels too. Well worth a visit - free to enter but a suggested donation of...More

Very impressive architecture with a fab surroundings. Also its near to city centre so I suggest a visit for 2 hours and just near to the cathedral there is an old grave yard which also worth to walk in.

Grand building with much history, even it's own tartan. Very old tombs and nice surrounding area. Impressed by the cemetery higher up just behind the building and space in front in the shade to stop for a snack.

A visit to this cathedral takes you on a journey from the 12th century right upto date and shows how this wonderful building has been added to and adapted to suit the needs of each age and still remains a place of worship and community...More

Glasgow Cathedral (also called the High Kirk of Glasgow, St Kentigern's or St Mungo's Cathedral) is beautiful! Lots of stained glass windows, war memorials (from the 1800s-WWII) and military colours, etc to look at along with the architecture itself.
