Torwood castle is a real let down, little to see and just 'forgotten' walks around the area, and including tapoch broch are well worth a day out with the kids/dogs etc.

Whilst spending time in Falkirk, with children, we did a lot of walking trails and spotted this one whilst driving along stirling road. After a quick google we was excited to set off and look for the castle ruins. I had a quick check on...More

The location is not well sign posted and unless you know it’s there, it’s difficult to find. However it is a great walk into the woods. The area can get very muddy so appropriate footwear is advisable.

Worth a look when out walking your dog. Not a lot to see and very little information on site. The area can get very muddy in poor weather so adequate clothing and boots recommended. The blue pool is not to far away and also worth...More

Good walk. Great to see the castle and the broch and the blue pool if you go a bit further. Dog needed to be on the lead past the cattle but had a good walk in the woods.

Not much to see here i'm afraid. Passed it on a walk and wouldn't recommend seeking it out. The windmills nearby were more interesting so if you are looking for old castles with history then this one isn't the one.
