It was lucky that the Museum was open during my visit, and I made sure to visit! It was free to visit, donation suggested. I work in the medical field, but the exhibits might be too much for sensitive individuals. The museum is an example...More

I've been to more entertaining exhibitions but this is easily the most interesting. Its an academic museum, there's no gore or horror just science. If you're squeamish or overly sensitive i'd give it a miss, there's no gore but there are several hearts in jars...More

Excellent little museum, I've wanted to visit for a while and I wasn't disappointed. If you follow the signs which are put up on open days you shouldn't get lost, there are also volunteers in blue t-shirts to help if you can't find the museum....More

Really weird and interesting collection. Some rather macabre items which are fascinating if a bit grim. Location and layout add to the charm and makes for a curious afternoon trip. Note that this is not always open and it is worth contacting the trustees in...More

I have been several times and work as a volunteer here. The subject matter is appropriate for young kids and is presented in a very medical manner rather than grotesque. It is also FREE and is open the past Saturday of every month. Well worth...More

Many of Edinburgh’s student hangouts gather around
university buildings in Southside, the sort of

second-hand shops and eateries serving ethnic food for
just a few pounds. In August the student population is
replaced by vast numbers of boisterous visitors here
for the Fringe, Edinburgh’s world-class comedy and
