A nice pub with a good selection of beers. Handy stop off on the way from the Old Town to Waverley Station. Well frequented by both locals and tourists.

My sister and I were wandering the Royal Mile at Fringe Time. Great fun but tiring! She decided to wander down Fleshmarket Close as she was looking for a wee pub she'd found once before...success it was here! Lovely old style pub where we decided...More

Spotted this pub on a wander and being from Newcastle we had to visit. Gutted it’s not remotely related to the Newcastle Geordie though, but it has its own history story. Had a lovely gin and Newcastle Brown Ale. The lovely bar tender lady was...More

I usually love this place and always have good banter with the girls behind the bar. The new? Polish woman on this occasion was exceptionally short and rude, no chat and no atmosphere as a result. Real shame.

Group of around 14 met up for a reunion in this very pleasant pup just across the road from Waverley Station and up a narrow set of stairs. Good selection of drinks making our afternoon very enjoyable

Visited this place recently and can safely say it’s one of the worst pubs I’ve ever been in. The place is filthy, flies everywhere and you don’t want to visit the toilets. The beer was so bad due to the pipes not being clean. When...More

Old Town

the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the
