No pretence and the waiters are very helpful to choose your drink. It has become my local pub and they have a good selection of craft beer. Wonderful choice!

They always have a few good traditional ales and local craft beers and lagers. I can't comment on anything else they serve. I seem to remember a good quiz as well. Nice friendly bar staff and good location, just next to the meadows.

Close to the action if that's what you want, but this is a fine wee pub with good beer just away from the madding crowds. Definitely a festival find.

Well kept real ale in a cracking wee boozer frequented by locals, students and tourists. Bar staff friendly and attentive and a cosy atmosphere is all I require to give a 5star rating. No wonder the mrs calls me low maintenance, among other things😂.

Local beer is the best thing to buy. Don't go if you're not a beer person. They have a nice collection of beer and ale.

The beer here is excellent and the staff are helpful and chatty. The music could be turned up a bit or turned off, but it is a nice friendly bar.

A great "old-man pub" in Edinburgh. Small enough so that you can still have conversation without it getting too loud. Great beers on tap - Ossian ale being my preferred. If you're looking for a traditional pub that spans all different ages and had great...More

I was taken to the Dagda by a friend who lives close by. After several pints of Oakham Citra, we found ourselves drawn into the regular pub quiz. While the camaraderie arising from this challenge was delightful, I found the combination of catholic and esoteric...More

Great atmosphere. Small and friendly bar and we always head down to Dagda Bar when in Edinburgh. I love the Black Isle organic.

Many of Edinburgh’s student hangouts gather around
