I visit nearly every time I am in Edinburgh and don't think I've ever left empty-handed. The difficulty is deciding what to leave behind as I'm usually flying with hand luggage only!

Intended for adults (Old Children) rather than kiddies, this little shop on the Royal Mile is packed with children's books, annuals, periodicals and comics from the past. Girls (of a certain age) will remember Girls Crystal, School Friend, Girl: old boys will recall Hotspur, Rover,...More

Large selection of children's books well displayed. However prices were high and the lady serving? Owner was haughty and unfriendly. Very off putting and intimidating. Pity as it soiled what would have been a lovely browse
