Spotted it on the map and went to investigate. Found more than we anticipated- lots of different rooms and spiral staircases leading up to good views. Toilets but no cafe. Small parking area.

My Partner and I visited Craigmillar Castle 11.08.18 and felt the power of Centuries of Scottish History coming alive. Although the Castle had loss, it has been gone through preservation. What remains of the Castle and surrounding grounds is well worth a visit!

This is one of the more intact medieval castles and provides a great glimpse into what living there may have been like. It is not far outside the city and is definitely worth a visit. The grounds are nice as well.
