Unbelievable medieval castle overlooking the City of Edinburgh. It’s a WOW visit all the way. It takes a couple of hours, but it is definitely worth it.

I went there as soon as it opened in the morning, so there were no line for the tickets. After a couple of hours, on my way out, the ticket line was quite large. Nice view from the top, interesting history

If you like history you will like this visit. If you don't take up the audio guide there are plenty of guides around to ask questions. Stunning views

Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests

You can purchase tickets at the castle or you can purchase tickets at a reduced cost from the Hop-on Hop-off bus. This allows you to pass the line up for those trying to purchase tickets at the castle.
