The market has been open every Sunday from 10am-5pm from 11th September 2011, and trades year round. It's a foodie heaven and hosts the best street food in Edinburgh, so whether you're looking for something special for supper, a continental style lunch, or planning a dinner party - the Stockbridge Market will have some new produce for you to try. How about some olives as an aperitif, quality meat or fish with locally grown vegetables, followed by a selection of French cheeses and nutty brown bread, and finish things off with some traditional crepe suzettes or 'latest craze' macaroons or home baked cakes.....Or local jams, cakes and lots of crafts to take home as pressies!!! Eat, meet, great or treat there's something here for everyone, a truely wonderful experience

Fabulous Sunday market. Lots of stalls selling a variety of yummy food. Also stalls selling a great selection of soaps and other Scottish gifts. Really good atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit and don’t miss Steampunk coffee sold from an old VW van. Enjoy !

The mistake I made was to have breakfast before going, because there are so many stands with fresh baked goods, cheeses, crepes and even paella made on the spot. There are also a lot of non-food stands of course, and every one of them is...More

Small market but wide range of fresh food from traditional Scottish (cheese, salmon, etc) to street food, jewelry, clothes and soap. The paella made by true Spanish chefs is highly recommended (delicious!). The filtered coffee at Steampunk VW campervan is very tasty and recommended. Only...More

Most stalls were still setting up at the 10am official start time. Best to arrive a little bit after 10, to let the stall holders get ready for you, but don't arrive too late as the market gets crowded very quickly. Many interesting stalls, some...More

Great homemade food with a good price, delicious cakes, shortbreads, and beautiful crafts. Everything made by farmers of the region. Definitely is a place you must visit in Edinburgh.

As title says, it was great. Lots of lovely little stalls, knickknacks, and food stalls. Things to try and we had the paella, massive portions from massive pans, and omg it was beautiful!

Just downhill of New Town and attractively straddling
a river near the elegant Royal Botanic Garden, it’s
small wonder that Stockbridge became one of the city’s
