It was cool to take a picture with this statue of Sherlock Holmes. It makes me sad that more great stories and characters aren't in the public domain for reinterpretation. Sherlock Holmes has been foundational for modern mystery literature and fiction in general.

A bit of history and a beautiful monument in memory of the big sleuth 🕵️‍♂️ very much worth a stop.

Sherlock Holmes Statue has been moved !!!!!!!! Does anybody know where he is hiding or is he coming back????

Designed in the stereotypical fashion of a detective with deerskin outfit, pipe and magnifying glass. This statue is situated opposite the building were Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was born, this statue is well worth a visit for Sherlock Holmes fans.

The statute gets lost among the parking lot and shrubbery so keep an eye out of it. It is a must see while in Edinburgh.

The statue is nice for a picture if youre a sherlock holmes fun! Works were done on the bakery street in front and passage to the statue was difficult.
